Need a twitter client? Read/WriteWeb has a guide for you

Read/Write Web (RWW) post an article on a Guide to the world’s most popular Twitter clients yesterday. I was actually planning to research for a post on twitter clients myself. Looking at this article, I would not have written such a comprehensive guide.

This article is written by Marshall Kirkpatrick who is very experienced in RSS feed and twitter use. He has written an entertaining post on how twitter pays his rent. If you can use the information from twitter to pay your bills, you are a guru, man!

Some thoughts on the article:

Web interface for twitter - Very clunky. Unless you just want to post your twit, and not do anything else, go for a third party client.

Twitterrific - I have read raves reviews for the mac version. But if you are a windows user, use Teletwitter. A Twitterrific clone.

TwitterFeed - The only one that can auto publish my blog RSS feed to twitter. I have tried Twitbacker and Pingtwitter, but both did not update my blog feed.

Twitbin - This is what I am currently using now. It is nice to have your twitter stream but Twitbin is as unstable as the twitter web. The major letdown for me is its inability to remember my login details. Super-hassle.

Snitter - I am going to try out this next. Just not sure I want to install the bulky Adobe Air just for this.

CollegeSaga - The best RPG parody on the web

I know about this from MrBrown. I can’t resist and need to embed this on BlogMunch. I am a HUGE fan of old style/classical RPG. The RPG genre is all I play when I was young. The Final Fantasy series is of course the greatest (not going into the debate of which is the best FF of all time).

On Holiday!!!

Hi readers,

From my announcement, you would have known I will be going for a holiday for 2 weeks starting from……..NOW (GMT +8 0800hrs). Flying on a airplane…

I will be going to China with my wife and 2 kids to visit my in-laws. I will be mostly relaxing and doing nothing.

That doesn’t mean I will not be posting on this blog. I will still be surfing the net (apparently better than sex) and posting about interesting stuff I find.

So stay tuned or alternatively subscribe to the Blogmunch Feed to keep up to date.

Funniest thing I read today…

Those that is not in the meta blogging circle (Problogger, DailyBlogTips, etc) or read a lot of articles on blogging might not understand this, but I laugh out loud in my office when I read this.
