Estibot.com – Domain name valuator
Have you wonder what is the value of your domain name? Well, there are two domain appraisal tool on the web that is being recommended in Namepros.com forum. The first one is Leapfish.com. My overall feeling is that it is on the rough side and the estimations are generic.
Estibot.com seems more professional and the estimates are more accurate. According to the website, Estibot uses more than 30 characteristics of a domain name (like, traffic, previous sale value, keyword frequency, etc) to estimate a value.
Here are the estimated values of some of the blogs on my blogroll.
| Problogger.net | USD 260,000 |
| Copyblogger.com | USD 98,000 |
| Dailyblogtips.com | USD 74,000 |
| Ghacks.net | USD 39,000 |
| Mrbrown.com | USD 30,000 |
| Chrisg.com | USD 30,000 |
| Trieditmyself.com | USD 340 |
| Blogmunch.com | USD 150 |
Congrats Mr brown, you are really Singapore’s MVB (Most Valuable Blogger).
It would be good if it can valuate more than one domain at a time, but as it is now, it is the best tool to estimate your domain name, short of getting a professional appraisal.

The problem with those calculators is that they have only limited access to data.
They can use PR, Backlinks and dozens of other variables to calculate a value but they do not take into account the money that is earned from that domain.
I don’t think anyone in that list would sell his blog for the amount listed
Still, nice to play around.

Interesting, though I would never sell my domain

Thanks for stopping by.

These calculators are meant to be as accurate as possible within their algorithms limits. As the estibot creators say, they will improve the estimation with time.
Yep, I agree too that no one will sell their blog for the listed price.
chris:
bloggingfingers.com sold his previous blog for a tidy sum before setting up his current blog, so there are precedents. But in your case, maybe not as your domain name is quite personal.
Also wanna to thank you for your free ebook on pillar content. There are enough ideas there for me to consume this whole week.

I just wanted to post some success I have had with this new domain name appraisal website. I buy, develope and then sell 5-6 websites per year. Generally I get a domain name appraisal to see where I should price it. The various free appraisals can vary by thousands of dollars. My last 3 sites I have been using WeValuer.com as my main domain valuer and they have been within about 15% of the actual selling price on Sedo. Though I could pass this on. Good luck to everyone!
