Domain Names

I have only started blogging consistently; my aim is to post at least one post per day. I have read from Problogger, Steve Pavlina and Steve Chan to learn to apply blogging tools. One of the most tout rules for a successful blogger is to get your own domain name as soon as possible.
There are some advantages:
- you might be able to get a domain name that you want (good luck on those 5 letters or less domain names).
- with your own domain name, you will get more recognition sooner than with a blogger account.
- you will feel more attached to your own site and commited to make it grow.
Lifehacker and Problogger recommends a tool, Bust-a-Name, to find if your domain name is still avaliable.
Try it! I played with it trying different combinations, had so much fun that I am considering buying a domain name.
